Magaluf is small. The strip (Punta Ballena), the beach, BCM Square and the marina are all inside a ten-minute walk, so the question is not "where" so much as "what kind": adults-only hotel with a DJ at the pool, self-catering apartments with a pool bar that welcomes 20 people, or something a touch calmer in Palmanova for a mixed group. Sol House Mallorca
Formerly Sol House The Studio. Adults-only (16+), a short walk from the beach, with summer pool parties and sunset DJ sessions. A favourite with hen groups.
Lively, next to BCM
Hotel Samos
About 50 metres from BCM with a big, busy pool and the strip on the doorstep. Not adults-only, so expect a few families. Open February to October.
Apartments with pool bar
Vistasol Apartments
Apartments for up to 6, Emilio's Pool Bar with a DJ in summer, and Punta Ballena a few minutes' walk away. The owners have announced building works from October 2026 to March 2027, so check dates for early-season trips.
Adults-only (18+)
Hotel Florida Magaluf
Adults-only (18+) with a pool, tiered sun terraces, a rooftop terrace and sea views from the restaurant. A touch calmer than the strip hotels, so good for mixed groups.
Now a family resort
BH Mallorca (now FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark)
The former party hotel reopened in May 2024 as FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark, a family resort with its own waterpark. We no longer recommend it for stag or hen groups; the hotels above are better bets.
How to book a hotel for a stag or hen group
- Declare the group. Book under the lead name with the real number of guests. Hotels in Magaluf are used to groups, but some refuse undeclared ones at check-in.
- Apartments for 10+. Two-bedroom apartments sleeping 4–6 keep the per-head cost down and give you somewhere to pre-drink. Sotavento and Vistasol are the usual picks (both sleep up to 6).
- Adults-only for hens. Sotavento, Sol House (16+) and Florida (18+) are adults-only, which means no complaints at the pool and a crowd that is there for the same reason.
- Free cancellation. Choose the flexible rate on Booking.com. Groups change; the rate difference is small.
- May and September. Same hotels, roughly a third cheaper than July, and everything is open.
Magaluf, Palmanova or Palma?
Magaluf for walking home. Palmanova for a slightly calmer base ten minutes away with the brunch on your doorstep. Palma if the trip is cocktails and boutique hotels rather than the strip; it is 20 minutes by taxi and we cover it in the Palma hen do guide.

What is the best party hotel in Magaluf?
For hen groups, Sol House Mallorca (formerly Sol House The Studio): adults-only (16+), summer pool parties and a short walk from the beach. For stag groups, Sotavento Club Apartments or Hotel Samos, which is about 50 metres from BCM. BH Mallorca, the old go-to, is now a family resort and no longer suitable.
Is BH Mallorca still a party hotel?

Which Magaluf hotels allow stag and hen groups?

Should we stay in Magaluf or Palmanova?
Magaluf if you want to walk home from the strip. Palmanova is ten minutes away on foot, a little quieter, and has the bottomless brunch and some of the best restaurants. Both work; Magaluf is simpler for big groups.
How far are the hotels from the strip?
The hotels we recommend are all within about ten minutes' walk of Punta Ballena. Nothing in Magaluf is far; the resort is small.
